Just agreed, the ceasefire between India and Pakistan in Kashmir was immediately violated. This morning the world was again shocked by news from the border of India and Pakistan, the ceasefire which was officially announced less than 24 hours ago has now turned into gunfire and air combat. India stated that one of its warplanes was shot down near the Ponch sector, a sensitive area which has long been a hot spot for conflict. Meanwhile, the Pakistani military claimed to have encountered airspace violations by two Indian Rafale jets which it claimed entered 7 km into Pakistani territory before being intercepted. and what is even more worrying is that India claims that one SU-30MKI unit was shot down, while Pakistan says that an Indian armed reconnaissance drone was destroyed in their airspace. These two countries, which both have nuclear weapons, have returned to a phase of high tension, even though last night the world welcomed optimism when a joint statement was announced by the militaries of the two countries to stop all forms of attacks and maintain stability along the line of control or LOC, but this hope disappeared in just a matter of hours. Now there is a big question as to who was the first to violate it. Is it true that this is just a technical incident in the field or are there certain actors who really want to sabotage peace for the sake of better interests? In the midst of mutual accusations and air battles that have already occurred, the world is starting to be wary of whether this will end as a limited clash or instead the beginning of a larger escalation. Pakistan claimed to have shot down three Indian Rafale fighter jets, 1 SU30 MKI and 1 Mig 309 in an air incident that was said to be the biggest dog fight between the two South Asian countries since the Kargil war . India responded by stating that it had also destroyed two Pakistani F16 jets and a combat drone near Muzafarabad. Indian drone footage shows a large explosion at a location claimed to be a militant training facility. India accuses Pakistan of using the ceasefire agreement as a cover to infiltrate militants into Kashmir . Internationally, some media even say that there is a role for local radical groups and militants who deliberately take advantage of the gap between conflict and peace to worsen the situation on the ground.
